Snowshoeing

New Season, New Shoes

You don’t have to give up on hiking just because it’s winter! There are an abundance of snowshoeing trails near Tupper Lake waiting to be discovered. Strap on a pair of snowshoes and enjoy our snow-covered trails. Many of the hiking trails make for a great snowshoeing trek. The groomed cross-country trails at the James C. Frenette Sr. Recreational Trails are also snowshoe-friendly.

Try It - You'll Like It!

Don’t have snowshoes? No worries! Complimentary snowshoes are offered to all Wild Center guests with your paid admission. So after exploring the indoor exhibits, step outside and snowshoe to the glorious oxbow on the Raquette River, the inspiration for The Wild Center's logo.
