Hocus Pocus in the park
Calling all witches! Kick off the halloween season with us Saturday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m.. The Town of Tupper Lake Recreation Department presents Hocus Pocus in the Tupper Lake Municipal Park! At only $10 per car, the whole family can enjoy the drive-in experience watching a halloween classic on a 30 foot screen.
Popcorn and sodas will be available for purchase at the park, tickets are available to purchase online ahead of time or cash payments are accepted that night. Don’t miss the drive-in experience on the shores of Raquette Pond.
Fall at The Wild Center
The Wild Walk is one of the most iconic spots to see fall foliage in the Adirondacks. Take in the reds oranges and yellows from The Eagle's Nest, and capture an instagram-worthy photo of Adirondack foliage.
On October 1, join The Wild Center to celebrate all things electricity! There will be electric vehicle demonstrations, vendors, tinkering projects, guest speakers, and more. Stay tuned to The Wild Center’s calendar for more information and for all fall programming happening throughout the season.
Plein Air Festival
The Plein Air Festival returns to Tupper Lake October 5 through 9. Artists flock to Tupper Lake to paint the beautiful fall scenes throughout the region, then conclude with a gallery and sale at the Tupper Arts Center.
Oktoberfest at Raquette River Brewing
This year, Raquette River Brewing is excited to expand their annual Oktoberfest celebration to a 3 day, weekend long event. On Indigenous Peoples weekend, from October 7 through 9, join us at the brewery for fun for the whole family.
Beer releases are slated throughout the weekend, as well as a great live music line up. Fusion Street Food, The Marketplace, and Side Hustle food trucks will all be serving up great beer pairing food. Games for kids will take place as well including pumpkin painting, balloon animals, a clown show, and more. Sunday an epic corn hole battle will take place with cash prizes. This event is truly one for the whole family, kick back and enjoy your long weekend at Raquette River Brewing.
The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce presents OkTUPPERfest, happening October 8 at the Tupper Lake Golf Club. Running from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., OkTUPPERfest is bound to be a fun filled event for the whole family!
The Lookout Bar & Grill at the Tupper Lake Golf Club will have a cash bar and food trucks will be on site as well. Nine holes of golf and a cart is available for $25 per person, as well as vendors, live music, and fat tire bike rentals.
While you enjoy a fall cocktail, the kids can enjoy bounce houses, obstacle courses, pumpkin painting, face painting, tie-dye t-shirts and more! At the Tupper Lake Golf Course you will be able to take in the beautiful fall colors as the leaves change along the fairways. It’s sure to be a fun day for the whole family that you will want to add to your fall events calendar!
The Triad Challenge
For the fifth year in the row, the Triad Challenge returns to the mountains of Tupper Lake on October 8th. This is a cumulative race up and down all three triad peaks, starting at Coney Mountain and ending at Mount Arab. Race by yourself or in a relay team of three.
Afterwards, join us at P-2’s Irish Pub for a cold drink, great food, and prizes. Run, walk, or crawl up the three triad mountains for your chance to be a Triad Challenge Champion!
Whether you enjoy sitting by a fire enjoying a fall cocktail, listening to great live music, painting a beautiful scene, or racing up the triad, Tupper Lake has got it all going on this fall. Find a place to stay and check out a few of our fall happenings!
