The Tupper Lake Tinman thrives thanks to our amazing volunteers! Explore the opportunities below and sign up for the role that interests you. 

All volunteers must sign up online in advance to complete the USAT-required waiver and to ensure you receive a t-shirt.

This year, we will continue to offer stipends for non-profit groups. If you can get a 8 or more volunteers for your group, please email tinman@tupperlake.com for more details!

2026 Schedule:

Friday, June 26

Friday Athlete Check-In Volunteer
Assist on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 12 PM - 8 PM with athlete IDs, packet distribution, and t-shirts. The Coordinator will confirm details.

Saturday, June 27

Swim Volunteer
Help on race day from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Bring your canoe, kayak, or SUP with paddles and life jackets. Pontoon boat volunteers are needed, too. Our Swim Captain will coordinate your assignment.

Bike Aid Station Volunteer
Assist at one of five aid stations between Tupper Lake and Cranberry Lake from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The Bike Captain will contact you for coordination.

Run Aid Station Volunteer
Support one of seven aid stations within Tupper Lake from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Our Run Captain will coordinate your assignment.

Transition Volunteer
Work in the Municipal Park on various tasks from 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The Transition Captain will place you in the appropriate area.

Finish Line Volunteer
Help at the Finish Line on Demars Blvd from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Duties include handing out medals and collecting timing chips. The Finish Line Captain will confirm details.

Saturday Morning Athlete Check-In Volunteer
Assist on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM with athlete IDs, packet distribution, and t-shirts. The Coordinator will confirm details.

Sunday, June 28

Sunday Load Out & Park Clean-up

Sunday morning clean-up takes place on June 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Volunteers will assist the local organizing committee by helping to tear down and load out the temporary infrastructure in the park. This includes bike racks, cones, temporary fencing, swim buoys and minor waste removal. The Coordinator will confirm details.
