Train Station Site – Community Design Charette

Help Shape the Future of the Tupper Lake Train Station Site

Join us for a hands-on Community Design Charette on Saturday, May 3, 2025, and be part of the conversation about what’s next for the Tupper Lake Train Station site—an important gateway to the Adirondack Rail Trail.

We’re bringing together community voices and a professional design team to explore creative ideas that improve accessibility, strengthen connections, and reflect the spirit of Tupper Lake.

The Town of Tupper Lake received a $300,000 Smart Growth Grant from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation to help bring this vision to life. Construction is expected to begin once DOT rail work wraps up, with support from Town and Village staff—and the help of local volunteers.

This event builds on work already in motion from local efforts, including the Rail Trail Readiness Task Force, Tupper Lake Economic Development Committee, the Junction Connectivity Study, and the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP).
