Northern Challenge Ice Fishing Derby – Registration Opens November 1

Get ready for one of New York State’s largest ice fishing tournaments! Registration for the annual Northern Challenge Ice Fishing Derby opens November 1.

Anglers will head to Simon Pond in Tupper Lake on Saturday, February 6, 2027, for a day of ice fishing, cash prizes, raffles, and plenty of winter fun. With more than $35,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, including hourly payouts for the largest fish, this popular Adirondack tradition draws anglers from near and far.

The catch-and-release tournament runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is $40 per participant, with an optional $50 Lunker Pool entry.
