A Summer Classic: Fear and Desire

The Adirondack State Theater will present a special screening of Fear and Desire from July 4–6 at 4:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00, and the film runs 1 hour and 12 minutes. Released in 1953, Fear and Desire is an American anti-war film and the feature directorial debut of Stanley Kubrick. Written by Howard Sackler and created with a small crew of just fifteen people, the film is a haunting and philosophical exploration of the human psyche during wartime. Set in an unnamed forest during an undefined conflict, the story unfolds as a meditation on fear, doubt, and the nature of war itself. All are welcome to attend this unique and thought-provoking cinematic experience at the Adirondack State Theater, located at 100 Park Street in Tupper Lake.
