P-2's Irish Pub 2026 Summer Music Series Presents: Michael Shofi & Drifter

Kick off your July 4th weekend with an unforgettable night of live music as Michael Shofi and his band, Drifter, take the stage at P-2's Irish Pub!

Fresh off opening for Plain White T's in Indiana, this rising NYC-based folk-rock band is making two special appearances in Tupper Lake over the holiday weekend.

Drifter's debut album, The Tupper Tapes, was recorded on a vintage Tascam 4-track recorder at David and Leanne Shofi's family cabin in Tupper Lake. Complete with the sounds of crackling fireplaces and rain on the roof, the album captures the creative spirit and natural beauty of the Adirondacks.

Lead singer-songwriter and guitarist Michael Shofi has spent every summer of his life in Tupper Lake, making this performance a true homecoming. He formed Drifter with fellow singer-songwriter Jake Slater after the two met while studying musical theater at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory. The band is rounded out by bassist Kari Estes and drummer Jared Mathis, creating a warm, harmony-driven sound that blends folk, rock, and indie influences with heartfelt songwriting and energetic live performances.

Expect an evening of original music—including songs from The Tupper Tapes—along with favorite rock, folk, and indie covers that create the perfect soundtrack for Independence Day weekend. Dancing, singing along, and celebrating together are highly encouraged!
