Hockey season is almost here! The Tupper Lake Youth Hockey Association (TLYHA) is excited to welcome new and returning players. Sign-ups are now open for players who want to learn the basics and advance their skills on the ice.

Looking for a fun way to get your child into hockey? TLYHA offers a fun and supportive environment where players can develop skills, enjoy the game, and grow as a team.

Program Details

The program is held at the Tupper Lake Civic Center on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Important Information from the TLYHA:

While there is no registration fee, you must register in advance. We are required to obtain a copy of your child’s birth certificate. This, along with registration, is mandatory before your child will be allowed on the ice. This requirement comes from USA Hockey, not TLYHA. Please register your child using their legal name. Registration must match their birth certificate, or include legal court documentation for any name changes. Neither we nor USA Hockey retain copies of the document—it is used solely for name and age verification within USA Hockey’s registrar system. Register Here

Youth Hockey Sign Ups

Registration for the upcoming season of the Tupper Lake Youth Hockey Association (TLYHA) is now open!

Here is the fee and practice schedule breakdown by age group:

  • Learn to Play & MiniMites (6u): FREE

    • Practice Times: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

  • Mites (8u): $250

    • Practice Times: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

  • Squirts (10u): $350

    • Practice Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

  • Peewee (12u) & Bantam (14u): $375

    • Peewee Practice Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

    • Bantam Practice Times: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

There is a 75% discount for each additional family member. The anticipated start date for the season is October / TBD.
