Coding + Robotics Camp

Free camp for ages 12+

Explore the world where astronomy, coding, and robotics collide! This free, hands-on camp introduces participants to computer programming and robotics through creative challenges and real-world applications used in modern science. Campers will design, build, and program their own robots while learning how coding powers careers in astronomy and beyond.

Led by Simon Thill, Associate Director of Astronomy Outreach and computational astronomer, this camp is designed to be fun, accessible, and inspiring—no prior coding or robotics experience required.

Participants will:

  • Learn the basics of coding and robotics

  • Build and program their own robot

  • Explore how coding and AI are used in astronomy
