Tupper Arts Presents: Charlie Chaplin Silent Film Night

Hosted at the Adirondack State Theater

Join us for an unforgettable evening of laughter and classic cinema as Tupper Arts presents three iconic silent comedies starring Charlie Chaplin, with live piano accompaniment by renowned silent film historian and composer Ben Model.

Before creating his beloved “Little Tramp” persona, Chaplin made a series of slapstick shorts that showcased his comedic brilliance in a variety of settings. This special program features three of the best from his 1916–1917 Mutual Film Corporation series:

The Rink (1916) – A clumsy waiter causes chaos at a restaurant and a wild roller-skating party.
The Immigrant (1917) – A poignant and humorous tale of Charlie’s arrival in America.
The Count (1916) – Mistaken identity and mischief ensue as a tailor’s assistant crashes a society party.
Ben Model will introduce each film and perform his original scores live on piano. He will also be available after the screening to sell and sign copies of his new book, The Silent Film Universe.

Tickets: $15.00

Don't miss this charming celebration of early cinema!
