Birding for Beginners – Free Family-Friendly Program in the Adirondacks

Discover the joy of birdwatching with the Birding for Beginners program, a free educational event designed for children, families, and nature lovers of all ages. Held every Sunday from June 22 through July 2025, this program introduces participants to the common bird species found in the Adirondack region and the tools and techniques used to identify them.

The session begins with an indoor introduction to bird groups and birding materials, followed by a guided trail walk where participants will put their new skills to use. By the end of the program, attendees will be able to identify local birds and feel confident continuing their birding journey on their own.

Program Highlights:
