Rainbow Falls - Cranberry Lake
Tooley Pond Road, Cranberry Lake

Rainbow Falls is one of the highlights of the tour and is every photographers dream waterfall, so don’t forget your camera.

Getting there

From the intersection of Route 3 and Route 30 in the Village of Tupper Lake follow Route 3 toward Cranberry Lake. Follow Route 3 for 27 miles through Cranberry Lake to Tooley Pond Road. Turn down Tooley Pond Road and continue for 11 miles to the small trailhead on the left. Look for an 8 x 11 inch sign on a tree near three large boulders on the left hand side of the road.

From the trailhead you will hike on a flat course with a slight descent to a field with blackberry bushes lining the sides. Once through the attractive hardwood forest you will come to a narrow wooden footbridge over a brook. This can be very slippery, walk with care. Past here you will quickly come to the top of Rainbow Falls with very steep drop offs. The trail will continue downstream to get you better view of the falls.
