Chamber of Commerce
About the Chamber
The Tip Top Town has seen dramatic changes since the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce came into existence in 1958. Initially propelled by a powerful timber industry, we have evolved in recent years into a tourism destination focused heavily on our outdoor recreational opportunities. Our organization has transformed accordingly attracting potential visitors and providing the necessary support material has become our most important initiative. The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce acts as a unified voice of the business community, delivers insight on community development, and creates coordinated and cooperative marketing opportunities to promote our members.
An Events Driver
Recognizing tourism as our primary economic driver the TLCC operates a year-round visitor center and organizes four of the major destination-style events in town. Included in our annual schedule is the Brew-Ski which combines cross-country skiing and snowshoeing with tastings from a variety of breweries in March. The Tupper Lake Tinman Triathlon returns every June and is one of the longest running races of its kind in the nation, attracting participants from the Northeastern U.S. and Canada. The Warrior Run is held at Raquette River Brewing in July and features live music, libations, and a devastatingly fun 3.1 mile obstacle course over some incredible terrain. OkTUPPERfest in September celebrates the fall foliage, offering cold brews, craft and food vendors, along with musical interludes. We encourage you to visit us and learn more about the wonderful place we call home! For questions about events contact Christine Marquis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
