Winter Photography Tour

Winter photography has a unique set of photo opportunities, as well as its challenges. Take advantage of this incredible chance to photograph alongside acclaimed wilderness photographer, Carl Heilman, as you capture the serene beauty of winter in the Adirondacks. As the day progresses, we’ll visit nearby wintry landscapes, including a site for photographing the rising full moon at sunset. Next, we’ll photograph the Wild Lights display, before heading to the Saranac Winter Carnival Ice Palace lighting for the opening fireworks display. Carl will offer tips throughout the day for photographing all of these challenging light conditions.

Carl brings over 40 years of photo experience and enthusiasm for many different aspects of photography to each workshop. A maximum of 8 participants, allows plenty of opportunities for individual interaction throughout the day on the different photo shoots.

The workshop fee includes all instruction and any handouts - but does not include lodging or additional meals. Please bring along whatever you would like for food and drink throughout the day. The workshop begins in the conference room at The Wild Center. We will carpool as needed to photo locations.
