The Wild Center prides itself on being a hands-on learning environment for everybody. Although we can’t visit The Wild Center currently, the staff is committed to bringing everyone fun, innovative, and educational daily content throughout the week.

The Wild Center is going viral! Between Lunch Time Lives, drop-in digital learning, virtual visits, and live cams, there are multiple ways to stay connected!

Lunch Time Live

Every weekday at noon, The Wild Center is hosting Lunch Time Live on their Facebook page. Each day Wild Center naturalists, animal care staff, and educators will be sharing animal encounters, behind-the-scenes looks, and projects and activities you can do in your own backyard. A portion of the live video is informative about the topic, but then the staff open it up to questions to be very interactive! This is a great option for children at home and parents looking to add natural history into their kid's learning day.

If you don’t have Facebook, they post the videos on their website afterwards so everyone has a chance to see them. Tune in daily to see what's happening at The Wild Center!

Drop in Digital Learning

Schedule some time in your home school day every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. for live distance learning programs from The Wild Center. Over the next few weeks teachers and students can look out for Digital Drop-In Opportunities to learn more about Adirondack animals, engineering challenges, and Earth science with The Wild Center's School Programs Coordinator and Animal Care Team! You can find these educational sessions on their website.

Virtual Visits

Want to feel like you are at The Wild Center? Check out a virtual tour from your living room! Take a spin around different exhibits and visit every nook and cranny of The Wild Center (even parts that usually aren’t open to the public)! There are in-depth videos with Wild Center naturalists and the Animal Care Team along the way too!

Live Cams

You can see what is happening at The Wild Center live anytime you want with live cams! Check out what Rainbow Bridge over Green Leaf Pond looks like currently, or view some mountain summits! You can also see live sunsets over Raquette Pond every night.

Although The Wild Center is staying closed for the health and well-being of all, there are still so many ways to stay connected and further your Adirondack learning! Stay up to date with any Wild Center info at their Facebook page, Twitter account, or website.
