It's a time of opportunity in Tupper Lake!

Tupper Lake has seen great progress in recent years. On Park Street, our Uptown Business District, many empty windows have been eliminated and we now see new businesses opened in renovated storefronts. Meanwhile, in the Downtown Business District, construction of the new Adirondack Rail Trail, restored train service, and steady business investment shows great promise for the future. As a result, young people are moving back and new residents have been welcomed into the community. These new community members have joined local residents in contributing to the growing diversity of businesses, new housing developments, and the blossoming arts scene. All of this activity builds upon long-established businesses that have kept Tupper going for generations.

Tupper Lake’s revitalization is inspired by the natural setting of the Adirondack Park and driven by the strong commitment of community members, elected leaders, village staff, regional partners, and a number of nonprofit institutions. In late 2021, this activity saw an even greater boost as Tupper Lake was awarded a $10 million Downtown Revitalization (DRI) Grant, which will result in approximately $80 million in public and private investment.
