Celebrate Paddling with the 8-Miler in Tupper Lake

Join us on June 22, 2024, for an exhilarating race along the scenic waterways of Tupper Lake. Registration for the event will be open, with the race set to commence. Participants can choose to conquer the 8-mile course, navigating through picturesque landscapes and challenging waters. Entry fees are set, inclusive of coveted race t-shirts for the first 50 registrants, as well as the promise of awards and a delightful post-race BBQ.

Location: Race starts at the Town of Tupper Lake Boat Launch on Lake Simond Road and goes to the Route 30 bridge, then goes up the Raquette River to the Oxbow, and returns to the Boat Launch.

Event Details

• Distance: 8 miles. A NYMCRA Points Race for Canoes and Kayaks.
• Entry Fee: $35. T-shirts for the first 55 registrants, awards, and post-race BBQ!
• All proceeds from the race go to the Adirondack Health Foundation's Heart Health Initiative.
• Start: 11 a.m. Check-in from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
• Classes: All New York Marathon Canoe Racing Association (NYMCRA) canoe and kayak classes as well as classes for Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs).
