Raquette Pond

Directions to access points:

From the intersection of Route 3 and Route 30 in Tupper Lake follow Route 3 toward Piercefield. Just about a mile to the Waterfront Park on then left.

Shoreline fishing:

Shoreline fishing from this location is quite easy. The long shoreline with accessible overlooks and docks gives ample opportunity to cast a line.

Boat access:

This is also a boat launch area where ease off boating access with a dock is available. Fishing from a boat is the best option for fishing this widening of the Raquette River. The pond is very shallow only reaching a bit over 10 feet deep. With ample shallower areas and grassy patches this is where to find the pike and bass. By boat you can access Tupper Lake as well.

Fish Species Types:

Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike

Special regulations:

A large portion of the shore is private property so please respect private lands.

Always Follow State fishing regulations and be sure to pick up a NYS Freshwater Fishing Guide at your local outfitters or regional NYSDEC office.
