Sheep Meadow

This relatively easy trail will bring you back to a very attractive back-country lean-to’s surrounded by small foothills of the Adirondacks. While this trail gets more attention in the winter as a ski trail, is does make for a nice stroll through nature. From the trailhead it’s very flat before a slight descent down to a crossing of the Osgood River. At the next intersection stay straight; right leads to grass Pond. Then take an immediate left onto a foot trail that leaves the forest road. Several rolling hills we lead you back to an old forest road before you come to end of the trail. This is a nice secluded camping location for a weekend of solitude and quiet.
