Gilbert Tract Loop

Following a clockwise direction around the loop you will be hiking on a forest trail. At first you will be on an old forest road before it switches to a narrower foot trail with rolling hills. The trail eventually comes back to the forest road and leads you back out to the parking lot. 

Trailhead Location: 

From the intersection of Route 3 and Route 30 in the Village of Tupper Lake follow Route 3 toward Cranberry Lake. Follow Route 3 for 24 miles to the trailhead on the left. 

Distance Round Trip:

2.2 miles, loop

Elevation Gain or Loss: 

~100 feet to height-of-land

Time Round Trip:  

Family with Young Kids:     2 to 2.5 hours

Experienced Hiker:         1 to 2 hours

Out of Shape Hiker:     2 to 2.5 hours
