Brandy Pond

Located along Route 30 near the Fish Creek Ponds Public Campground, Brandy Pond is a small body of water that is surrounded by a mixed coniferous and deciduous forest. The marshy margin of the pond offers habitat to species such as Common Yellowthroat and Swamp Sparrow, while the surrounding woods are home to an array of warblers and other songbirds, including Black-throated Blue Warbler, Black-and-White Warbler, and Canada Warbler. The trickiest issue of the pond is one of access and birders should view a trip to Brandy Pond more as a bushwhacking adventure as they search for birds. Once at the pond, birders will be rewarded for their efforts.

For access, see our post about paddling Brandy Pond.
